Curug Tujuh Bidadari

Semarang now has a new natural attraction. Officially inaugurated as a public tourism attraction back in 2010, Curug Tujuh Bidadari is located at Keseneng Village of Sumowono District. The name that literally translates into the waterfall of seven angels has nothing to do with beautiful momen. The name comes from the fact that unlike the 80 meters Grojogan Sewu waterfall in Tawangmangu or the 30 meters Jumong waterfall in Karanganyar, Curug Tujuh Bidadari has seven smaller 6-7 meters waterfalls. In addition to the beauty of the seven “angels”, the surrounding are offers peacefulness and mind rejuvenating countryside atmosphere.  Continue reading

Dieng Plateau

Located between administrative authority of Banjarnegara Regency and Wonosobo Regency, the highland plateau of Dieng is divided into two parts. The village of Dieng Kulon is part of Batur District, Banjarnegara Regency, whilst the village of Dieng Kulon is part of Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency.

With an altitude of more than 2,000 meters above the sea level, climate of Dieng is cool throughout the day. Ranging between 15°C and 20°C in daylight and 10°C at night, temperature sometimes falls into 0°C in the morning especially between July and August. Local residents negatively affected not because they could not afford such a low temperature but because the morning dew becomes poisonous for plantation. Continue reading
